Answer:

)Concentration of solution = 15%

   Mass of solute = 15g

   Mass of solvent = 15 + X

   Concentration of solution = (Mass of solute / Mass of solution) X 100

                                 15 = (15/15+X) x 100

                           15 + X = (15/15) x 100

                                  X = 100 - 15

                                  X = 85 g

Answer:

from the given question :

Mass of solute (salt) = 15 gram

concentration of the solution (salt solution) = 15%

Let the mass of solvent be x

so, the mass of solution will be => mass of solute + mass of solvent

=> (15 + x)

Now, We know that the concentration of a solution = mass of solute / mass of solution ✖️ 100

so, 15% = 15/ (15+x) ✖️100

15/(100✖️15) = 1/(15+x)

1/100 = 1/(15+x)

100 = 15+x

x = 100-15

x = 85

so, 85 gram of water should be added to 15 gram of salt to obtain 15% of salt solution
