Given that:

  • The interior diameter of the tank is 1.6 m and its depth is 0.7 m.

To Find:

  • How much water will a tank hold?

Formula used:

  • Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

Where,

\sf\pink{r = Radius = 1.6/2 = 0.8 m}

\sf\purple{h = Depth = 0.7 m}

Finding the volume of the tank:

  • Volume = π × (0.8)² × 0.7

  • Volume = (22 × 0.8 × 0.8 × 0.7)/7

  • Volume = 9.856/7

  • Volume = 1.408

∴ Volume of the tank = 1.408 m³

Converting the m³ into litres:

  • 1 m³ = 1000 litres

  • 1.408 m³ = (1000 × 1.408) litres

  • 1.408 m³ = 1408 litres

The tank will hold 1408 litres of water.

Given that:

➠The interior diameter of the tank is 1.6 m and its depth is 0.7 m.

➠To Find:

➠How much water will a tank hold?

★Formula used:★

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

Where,

\tt {r=Radius=1.6/2=0.8m

\sf\purple{h = Depth = 0.7 m}

➠Finding the volume of the tank:

➠Volume = π × (0.8)² × 0.7

➠Volume = (22 × 0.8 × 0.8 × 0.7)/7

➠Volume = 9.856/7

➠Volume = 1.408

➠∴ Volume of the tank = 1.408m

→1 m³ = 1000 litres

→1.408 m³ = (1000 × 1.408) litres

→1.408 m³ = 1408 litres

⟹ ∴ The tank will hold 1408 litres of water.
