 H_{2} + CuO ➝ H_{2} O + Cu

1 mol 1 mol

1 mol CuO = 79.5 g CuO

1.975 g CuO = 0.0248 moles CuO

As 1 moles of CuO produce 1 mol of H2O , hence 0.0248 moles CuO produces 0.0248 moles of H2O .

Now , 18 g H2O = 1 mol

0.0248 moles of H2O = 0.446 g

Thus , 1.975 g CuO will produce 0.0248 moles or 0.446 g of H2O .
