how much wire is needed to fence three times a rectangular plot of size 100m by 80 m?

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Perimeter = 2(100 + 80)

Perimeter = 2 * 180 

Perimeter = 360 m

wire need to be fenced = 3 * 360 

Wire need to be fenced = 1080 m

Hi ,

Dimensions of the rectangular plot :

Length = L = 100 m

Breadth = B = 80 m

Wire needed to fence 3 times around

rectangular plot = 3 × perimeter of

rectangular plot

= 3 × [ 2 ( L + B ) ]

= 3 [ 2 ( 100 + 80 ) ]

= 3 × 2 × 180

= 1080 m
