Answer = 250 J

Mass of ball = 50 g = 0.5 kg

Momentum = 5 kgm/s

As we know,

Momentum = Mass*Velocity

5 = 0.5 * v

v = 5/0.5 = 10m/s

u = 0

W = 1/2 mv²

W = 1/2 0.5 × 100

W = 0.5 × 50

W = 250 J

Given

Mass = 50g = 0.05kg

momentum = 5kg/m

since

p = mv

5 = 0.05*v

v= 100

energy = 0.05*100/2=0.05*50=2.5j
