How much work is needed to be done on a ball of mass 50g to give it a momentum of 5kg m/s?

Work done=change in kinetic energy

p=momentum=5kgm/s

u=initial velocity=0 m/s

v=final velocity=?

m=mass of body=0.05kg

Since……….work W=1/2mv²-1/2mu²

p=mv

v=5/0.05=100m/s

W=1/2*0.05*100²

W=1/2*500

W=250 joules
