Answer:

As mass is same everywhere so the man would weigh 70 kg on moon as well as on earth.

acceleration due to gravity(g)=9.8 m/s2

Weight of man on earth(We)=mg

=70*9.8

=686 N

Weight of man on moon(Wm)=686/6

=114.34 N (approx.)

Answer:

we know ,

the weight on moon is 1 / 6 of earth .

therefore,

weight on Earth = 70 kg .

weight \: on \: moon \:  =  \frac{1}{6}  \times 70

 = 11.66 \:  \: kg \: .

and in terms of Newton,

weight = mass × g

weight = 70 × 1.7

weight = 119 N .

  • Mass remains constant .

  • Mass on Earth and Moon will be same .
