How multiplication is associative in rational numbers

Let us consider the rational numbers 3/4 and 5/7 Then,

(3/4 × 5/7) = (3 × 5)/(4 × 7) = 15/28 and (5/7 × 3/4) = (5 × 3)/(7 × 4)

= 15/28
