You want to prepare m/2 solution
m/2 solution means 1000ml contain 1/ 2 that is 0.5 moles
so 50ml will have 0.5 / 2= 0.25
so 0.25 moles of NaOH weighs
0.25 ×(23+16+1) ...........in bracket molecular weight
0.25 × 40= 10
