If we think of the world and all living things as part of a circle, humans are in the middle. When humans disregard global warming, a man-made phenomenon, we run the risk of permanently changing the entire world with drastic weather and rising sea water. When humans pollute, both the air and water, there is a chain reaction from large mammals and sea life, to the smallest living beings. When we take natural habitat and convert it to our own uses, we are pushing the wild animals into smaller and smaller areas. Animals that have very specific needs go extinct. When we destroy nature and all that lives in it, we are taking the experience of seeing, appreciating and understanding nature from our ancestors that will follow. We must look 100 years from now, or 200 years. Teddy Roosevelt had it right when he created the National Parks System. Our natural resources are limited and as we destroy them through pollution, expansion, global warming and other things within our control, our resources become more scarce. When our natural resources are gone…. so are we.
