non-farm activities can lead to economic development because farm labourers get very low wages than that which they must get govt. has fixed a price of ₹300 per day to a farm labourer but due to competition among other farmers they get only ₹160 per day hence opening non farm activities is good rather then farming for example dairy, shop keeping and other industrial working so that they at least come above the poverty line.
