Daily. Because we want our daughter to have good habits, so we inspect her daily, and because we want her to feel part of the family instead of the bottom rung on the ladder, we have her inspect our room right afterwards. Same standards, same penalty for failing.
When she hits puberty, we’ll likely phase out the frequency, until it’s once a fortnight or so. By then, the habit should be ingrained.
