My present age= x
Son's present age = y
5yrs ago my age= x-5
5yrs ago son's age = y-5
5yrs hence my age = x+5
5yrs hence son's age = y+5
As per 1st condition:
x-5 = 3(y-5) ……………(1)
As per 2nd condition:
x+5 = 2(y+5) ………….(2)
=> x-3y = -10 ……….(1)’
x-2y = 5 ………….(2)’
Now by solving these equations by any of the methods, we get x= 35 , y= 15
ANS: my age= 35yrs
Son's age= 15yrs
