Rigveda was not written in one go. It got added up by the sages over centuries. Some part which relates to star positions can be very old. But the part which eulogisess Horse Chariot driven visitors with gold, cattle, rice was done much later, may be 1300 BCE. The Indus or Harappan civilisation have not been mentioned. The river Saraswati is mentioned which stopped flowing around 1900 BCE. People moved to plains of Jamuna. May be some fight took place on land issues.
