She was finding excuses to justify her behavior towards Wanda. She said that they could do nothing then as Wanda had left already. Giving an excuse for her irrational conduct, she advocated that by asking Wanda about all her dresses, she had urged her to get good ideas for her drawings. Even when Wanda had left the school she was giving excuse for her mistake by saying that she had never made her cry

Peggy, though was not a cruel girl, protected small girls from bully and cried when animals are mistreated. But, when someone pointed her to be cruel in the case of Wanda, she gave a great sign admitting herself not to be cruel. She pointed out the "lie" of the "Hundred Dresses" claimed by Wanda Petronski.
