→ Diffusion is a net movement of particles of substances from its higher concentration to its lower concentration.

In osmosis, movement of water occurs but across a semi permeable membrane.

Here, in this case, also movement takes place from higher to lower concentration obeying the rules of diffusion.

The speciality is this the movement is only of water. So it seems a special case of diffusion in which water moves across a semi permeable membrane.

Osmosis is a special case is diffusion because in osmosis water moves from a higher concentration to lower concentration through a semipermeable membrane. That is it allows selected particles pass through it.
