Ozone at the Higher levels in the atmosphere is a product of UV radiation on Oxygen molecule. The UV radiation splits Oxygen molecule into two separate Free Oxygen atoms. These free Oxygen atoms combine with Molecular Oxygen to form Ozone( three oxygen atoms together).
