• the pathogens in the broadest aspects refer to anything that can cause disease, infectious biological agents or simply germs

• pathogens enter the hosts body through a specific pathway, adhere to target hosts cell invade, colonize , damage and finally destroy s the host cell

• most common pathogens include bacteria , viruses, fungus, protozones etc that causes a number of disease in living organisms and human being

Carriers:

•carriers are human being or other living organisms that harbour and carry disease

• these can be infectious or genetic in origin carriers may not always produce diseases but they remain as a potential source of disease

• asymptomatic carriers are those where the person or any living organisms is a carrier of an infectious disease but without exibiting symptoms
