how PH scale help us to understand the nature of compound?

The pH scale is a scale used for measuring hydrogen ion concentration in a solution. It ranges from 1 to 14. The pH level of the neutral solution is 7. When the pH level of the a solution becomes less than 7, it is said to be acidic and when the pH level of the solution becomes more than 7, the solution becomes Basic.
