Plains r formed by 2 process 1st is erosion in this all the mud stone rocks r carried away by rain and 2nd is deposition this both process r linked to each other as when this things r taken away by water so the place they rich is known as deposition as the Rock etc are deposited from 1 place to another place... after this where ever they r deposited they make the soil fertile and form plain ,that's why plains r best for cultivation of crops too...

lains form in many different ways. Some plains form as ice and water erodes, or wears away, the dirt and rock on higher land. Water and ice carry the bits of dirt, rock, and other material, called sediment, down hillsides to be deposited elsewhere. As layer upon layer of this sediment is laid down, plains form.
