mass selection
it is a type of selection in which it is followed both in self defective and cross pollinated crops and contains in selecting and collecting the similarly appearing best and most vigorous plant from the least population of a crop the selected plants are thrashed together and a mixture of seeds is obtained this mixture of seed is a mass and therefore it is known as mass selection
