How plants respire through roots or stomata?

they resprire through stomata ( singular : stoma ) . they carry out photosynthesis and transpiration through them . there openings are controled by guard cells that swell ( close ) when water comes in them and shrink ( open ) when water goes out . they also take oxygen for their metabolism through them .
