Child labour is not paid highly in India.

There was a time when they were given only around 15 to 20 cents only after working for more than 12 hours.

This is still practiced in a wide range in India as pay the child only 100-500 Rupees for working for the whole day.

Young Children of 6 years work up hundred hours a week and on average the children earn less than 100 rupees a day and some even lesser than 50 rupees a day.

  • Even after so less payment, there is a total of 152 million child labourers where nearly 85 million children work under dangerous conditions in sectors like agriculture, construction, clothes, mining, tanning, and ship breaking. In many of these sectors, children are perceived to be harmful chemicals. Recent day child labour is an awful story of millions of children who works under hazardous conditions.
