Population of a country can be turned asset when the people take higher education and earn money with profit then their income added to our national income.

Well, I suppose the population might be regarded as a “soft”, not to say, squidgy asset. Though in civilised countries they’re not generally tradeable in the way non-sentient assets are.
More generally a highly educated and adaptable population can be an asset in the broad sense but on the other hand a highly educated and adaptable can demand change from their government, and governments are not terribly keen on that.
