How prepare nessler reagent from solid mercuric potassium iodide ?

Explanation: Most recent answer. "Nessler's Reagent" (K2[HgI4]) This reagent is prepared by mixing of 2 g potassium iodide in 5 ml water. To this solution is added 3 g mercuric (II) iodide and the resulting solution is made with H2O to 20 ml.
