Pressure and wind are the two major reasons for the modification in India’s climate.

India lies in the North easterly wind region hence the pressure and wind conditions are unique. In this region, the wind from subtropical high pressure belt blows towards south and gets deflated towards the equatorial low pressure belt where southern part of India lies. This process of wind would bring no rain to India, but some disturbance from western cyclones and tropical cyclone may bring rain by altering the pressure and wind.

Due to some western cyclonic disturbances, a low pressure area will develop over Central Asia and North Western India. The air from the Southern-Indian Ocean (the high pressure area) moves towards the low pressure area (central and north western India) by crossing the Equator. This will bring enough rainfall and sometimes more than enough rainfall.
