Convex mirror:
Only Virtual image is formed by convex mirror. The virtual image is smaller than the real image. The virtual image is erect. The image is formed behind the mirror. Virtual image can only be seen. It cannot be projected onto a screen. The light rays appear to diverge from the points on the virtual image.
Real image can be magnified or diminished. Real image can be projected onto a screen. Or, it can be directly seen by eye. The light rays converge after reflection to form the real image.

Virtual image is not received on a screen. The virtual image is just an illusion .Virtual image is the same size as the object .it is erect and forms as far behind the mirror as the in front of it.
Real image is received on a screen. The image received on the screen is inverted, reduced and is of the same shape as the object.
