Hello there!!!
The following graphs are present in the chapter KINETIC THEORY of class 11.( PAGE NUMBER 326,327)
1) PV/μT vs P
- P is pressure
- V is volume
- μ is moles
- T is temperature.
Trick to remember the graph
(I suggest you to remember the graph logically rather than mugging it up)
For ideal gas, PV=μRT
So,PV/μT = R which is a constant. So, the graph will be constant when it is an ideal gas.
Now, the rest of the graph, you have no other option other than remembering it.
2) P vs V graph.
According to boyles law, we know that P is directly proportional to 1/V.
Now, you have to remember the graph of y=1/x graph.(as attached in pic)
Taking only first quadrant, we know that PV=nRT
So, on increasing the area, (product of PV) there will be increase in T.
Thus T1>T2>T3
(Here, T1, T2 and T3 are named according to NCRET text book)
3) T vs P graph
For ideal gas, V is directly proportional to T.
So, it wil be a straight line.
Now, since it is not ideal gas, there will only be a slight variation i,e only a little curved graph.
As T increases, P increases. So, upper P ie, P1>P2>P3.
