This is an approach for the relief of the residual stresses in ceramic-metal joints by a layered braze structure, was described. The filler metal was assumed to have temperature-dependent elasto-plastic properties. The dependence of the residual stress state after brazing on the braze layout was also studied. It was shown that the residual stresses after cooling are concentrated in the corner of the ceramic region near the interface, in agreement with fracture observations.
