Answer:

Respiration in Plants. Plants like other animals also respire. Plants also need energy. The plants get energy through the process of respiration in which glucose food breaks down in the presence of oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water with the release of energy.

During the night, plants consume oxygen but they don't release any. All plants and animals on earth engage in a process called respiration. Respiration combines oxygen and the food created during photosynthesis to produce usable energy. One of the byproducts of respiration is carbon dioxide

Cells in the leaves and stems of plants perform photosynthesis, which uses the energy of sunlight to synthesize the carbohydrates used in cellular respiration. Mitochondria perform cellular respiration, while chloroplasts perform photosynthesis. So they may carry our cellular respiration .

Aerobic respiration actually has a lot of equations in the whole process but the overall, easy one and commonly used is C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O. Anaerobic respiration occurs in the absence of oxygen. One equation, or example, takes place in yeast which breaks glucose into alcohol and Carbon dioxide.
