How russia change after it turn into socialist siciety?

Socialism spread in Russia because the socialist thought peasants as natural socialists, and believed that this ideology could spread in Russia easily. By the 1870s , socialist ideas spread through europe. To coordinate their effort ,they formed an international body.

There were various steps taken by the bolshevik party to transform russia into a socialist society.

Nationalisation of private banks and heavy industries.This was in the manifesto of the bolshevik party since a long time.

Working hours of workers restricted to 8 hours a day and workers were entitled to fixed ration as decided by the state.

Church property was seized and transformed into godowns to store food grains and other essentials.

Houses and big palaces were confiscated and distributed to the workers according to their family size.

Agriculture stocks of farmers were targeted to stop hoarding.Although lenin allowed individual farming Stalin introduced the concept of ‘collective farms’ wherein many farmers were forced to work for the state.

A secret police or rather execution squad was created called ‘checka’ to suppress dissent and political opponents.it was responsible for the killing of thousands of russian people.

Propaganda enforcement was done through schools and colleges.Literature that promoted socialism was promoted.American movies were banned.New army uniforms were stitched which apart from army even the ministers were expected to wear.

The communists completely destroyed old russian literature and culture and replaced it with marxist literature to build a so called new socialist man.
