⚫How saliva in our mouth helps in swallowing food?

⏩When we eat food, after going into our mouth it gets soften because the friction between the food and our mouth decreases.

⏩Salivary gland release some enzymes which helps in the breaking down of food particles from starch to sugar.

⏩If the saliva would not be present then it would be very difficult for us to swallow food as the food particles will not get much lubrication to pass through food pipe.

Here is your answer.

✨Saliva is secreted from the salivary glands.

✨The saliva contains an enzyme called the amylase which breaks the molecules in our food to simpler particles by converting them into glucose.

✨This is why Roti tastes sweet when we chew it for sometime.
