Seeds are the reprodutive part of plants,which helps to grow new crops. So, without seeds it would have been hard to grow new crops so simply and easily

Not all plants produce seeds as a means of reproduction. Non-flowering plants, such as ferns, reproduce through the use of spores. While both seeds and spores produce the next generation, seeds are a more developed way of reproduction that offers many advantages.

Seeds offer the following advantages to flowering plants :

(i) They provide nourishment and parental care to the developing embryo.

(ii) They protect the embryo from harsh environmental conditions.

(iii) The dispersal of seeds to far-off places prevents competition among the members of the same species, thus preventing their extinction.
