Human sexual issues are of utmost importance to promote a healthy family. The ways one should deal with it are listed below:-

• There is nothing to shy away from the subject. The first step is to acknowledge the subject properly. Clarify any misconception or misunderstanding of the child about the topic and be understanding.

• Be a good role model for them and show them by example like a similar situation in life you also faced and how you overcame it. Imbibe good family values in them.

• Be supportive to the child. Respect their thoughts because they are going through many changes in their bodies and growing towards maturity.

• Inform them about the negative consequences of teen sex for both physical and mental health. Also, inform them of the sexually transmitted diseases such as aids, HIV, etc from such unprotected sexual activity.

• Always keep the lines of communication open.
