hi friend.... here's your answer...

The execution of the ninth guru 'Guru Tegh Bahadur' Aurangzeb added to the friction between the sikhs and the Mughals.
The sikhs then organised themselves into a strong political and military force under Guru Gobind Singh (10th and last sikh Guru).
This helped the sikhs to build a regional state in Punjab.
After the death of Guru Gobind Singh the sikh movement was led by Banda Bahadur. he occupied large parts of the Mughal territories in Punjab.
After Banda Bahadur's death, the sikhs organised themselves into 12 administrative units called misls.
the misls cooperated with one another but failed to unite as a single power. It was only under Raja Ranjit Singh that they united as a sikh Kingdom. Finally sikh Kingdom was formed.

hope helps.....
