Firstly you should know that particles of matter is always in continuos motion...This can be prove as if you put Pollen grain in water...you will find the zigzag motion of pollen grains...
Can you think why is it so...?
This is only becuase of zig zag motion particles of water...which pushes the pollen grains in random direction...So pollens grains move in random direction...
If this is not the case...ie, if Particles of water doesnt move then pollen grains wont show any motion in water...
This proves that particles of water always in continuos motion..
Particles of matter so small as you cannot see it with ur naked eyes...
We can see the Millimeter in a scale or rular...which is nothing just if you divide 1 centimeter in 10 equal parts..then 1 part out of 10 is called millimeter...And this 1 Millimeter can be easily seen by our eyes...See your Rular or scale...
But if say divide 10 lakh equal parts of 1 millimeter...and see 1 parts out of 10 lakh..can you imagine..How small is that 1 part out of 10 lakh...
This is so small..this is comes under the size of Micro..i.e, 10 raised to the power -6....
This size is so small that you cant see...even particles are much smaller than this size too...i.e,
10 raised to the power -10 etc...
Now lets take an example which proves the size of particles of a matter is so small
Take 500 ml (milli litre) of water in a glass or bowl...and then put a very small crystal of Pottasium Permagnet into water...
You will find that the colour of water become Pinkish after sometime...This is due to Particles of Pottassium permagnet diffused in water( Spread in water)
Now see the mixture and take 10 ml of solution and again mix another bowl containing 500ml of water...
you will observed the colour of water become light pink...but there are many particles of pottasium permagnet dissolve in water...
Think Even we take a small crystal of pottasium permagnet..and its split itself into many small particles in water...
Next take 10ml of solution from the solution having colour light pinkish..and mix it with again with another bowl containing 500 ml of water...you will observe colour of the solution become lighter...still there are some particles of pottasium peragnet in water...
You can imagine the size of particle how small it is ....
