Different species of snake have different ways to catch their prey some of them are venomous i.e they have neurotoxics which cause sudden death or slow death after which they engulf their prey since they don't have teeths to chew to compensate they have very strong digestive system.

Some other snakes which don't bite have sensory receptors in their tounge and they can track the path of their prey.
