Societal expectations start from the day either the neighbour or the parent or the relative (aunty/uncle) say the sentence "Sharmaji ke ladke/ladki ko dekho har subject mei top"("Look at sharmaji's son/daughter, always getting top marks in all subjects"). This sentence alone causes a lot of emotional, mental affect on the learners. The statements of comparision, may it be between the neighbour's kid or the class mates itself, has caused lack of confidence, lack of self esteem, lack of willingness in a student or the learner. It has created a negative affect on the creativity of the student and has degraded them in a way that will affect them in future and all their life.

To accept a child however he or she may perform, should be the approach towards a great upbringing and development of the kid.  Development can only be nutured by encouragement, motivation and inspiring them by giving a positive feedback to their attempts.
