Sound wave is mechanical wave and it needs material medium to travel.
We know that sound is produced when an object vibrates. When any object vibrates it disturbs the particles all around it in vibration.

A particles in contact with the vibrating object is displaced from its original position. That particle then exerts force on its adjacent particle and displaces it too. After displacing the adjacent particle, the first particle comes to its original position. This process goes on till the sound reaches our ears..

The vibrating object doesn't set the particles to move forward rather it creates a disturbance and that disturbance is carried forward.

Explanation:

sound waves enter the outer ear and travels through a narrow passage called as here canal leads to wear a drum Real Drum vibrates from the incoming sound waves and send and sends the these three this vibration into the three-time knee bone in the middle of the year by this process we can reach the power of the sound
