Hey friend,
• Sound is nothing but vibration and it travel through medium.

• It can travel through solid, liquid and gas but not through vacuum.

• Sound travel fast in solids.

• As sound cannot travel through vacuum, that's why we can't hear anything in space.

So these were the facts.

Hope this helps!!!

Here is your answer ....

Sound starts with a vibration caused by energy and radiates out from the source of the energy. The vibration is passed from one molecule to another as they bump around and a sound wave is produced. The energy energy received by the molecule is passed on, or transmitted but the molecule itself stays in the same place and vibrates back and forth.

Sound vibrations move through solids, liquid and gases but they cannot travel through empty space ( vacuum). Sound energy travels much slower than light energy.
Sound travels at about 340 metres per second in air, about 1500 metres pee second in water, and even faster in solid. Light travels at 300,000km per second. Therefore, we see things long before we hear them.

Hope it helped ☺☺☺
