sperm is formed in human body an it takes around 72 days to develop.

  • sperm production starts in the brains which monitors testosterone level.
  • as the level of testosterone decrease ,hypothalamus begins secreting  GnRH ,which flow to pituitary gland which produce LH and FSH.
  • LH  stimulates leydig cells to secrete testosterone.
  • FSH concentrates the testosterone into seminiferous tubule.
  • the inner walls of tubules is lined by germ cells which undergo meiosis .
  • due to meiosis the parent cell DNA splits into half and rearranges into new cells.
  • each of these new cells will become sperm cell.
