how stagnant water helps amphibians to continue their generation

bcoz amphibians give eggs in stagnant water and their eggs fertilise and mature in that water until the birth of young ones!

They lay thier eggs in the stagnant water so it is kept safe at a place. If the lay their eggs in flowing water their eggs will flow and get crashed and their generation will be soon exhausted
