100%. It is still working. If you are an Indian, just look around you. Muslims and Hindus hate each other. They both hate Christians and visa versa. Dalits hate uppercastes. Tamils hate northies. Bengalis do not seem to like anyone. No one is happy. Everyone thinks the other is better off.
This is what the British wanted — to be the saviour of all unhappy souls. Later practiced to perfection by the Congress. Keep people poor, keep them illiterate and continuously feed them the opium of religion and caste. Never ever make them think long term. Tell them all others are out to finish you except me. Hence vote for me.
