superstitions like the gender of a baby is depend on mother because of this many mothers were killed another superstition was that girls are weak . Discriminations like cast system create the practice of upper and lower cast.

superstition can hamper ones thought like if a black cat cross our road than it is taken as bad luck but it is not true and we should not believe in superstition .whereas the discrimination causes difference in the society like in some places the lower cast is treated badly by other cast thus they both are taken as evil in the society
