how tap root is different from fibrous root give one example of each type

tap root have one main root and branch roots grow out from this main root.e.g. carrot, radish

fibrous roots have a cluster of roots growing from the bottom of the stem. it has no main root. e.g. maize

Tap root:

A taproot is when there is one main root that grows straight down deep into the soil. It only has very few lateral roots that develop and grow off this main root. Example - carrot

Fibrous root:

A fibrous root system is the opposite of a taproot system. It is usually formed by thin, moderately branching roots growing from the stem. Example - grass
