♤ The kidney is equipped with a mechanism to reabsord water from the filtrate.
♤ This depend upon on how much water is left in the body and in the in filtrate.
♤ The comparative concentration of water gives a signal to the brain which then takes the required corrective action or either reabsorbing water or releasing more water.
♤ Thus the amount of urine for formation is regulated by kidneys.

Here is your answer
The amount of urine produced depends on how much of excess water is there in the body, and on how much dissolved waste is there to be excreted. More water and dissolved waste in the body will produce more urine and on the other hand , less water and less dissolved waste will therefore produce less urine. It is regulated by urinary bladder.
