There's a trigonometric identity, it says

sin²∅ + cos²∅ = 1

Here the angle, that is ∅ = 4∅

But this will not change the identity and so,

Sin²4∅ + cos²4∅ will also be equal to 1

This is why the answer is 1.

Cheers!

FOR ANY GIVEN ANGLE

SUM OF SQUARES OF sine AND cosine FUNCTIONS FOR ANY ARGUMENT /ANGLE REMAINS 1 .....

HENCE FOR ANGLE AS 4 times theta,

WE HAVE,

sin^2(4 theta)+cos^2(4 theta)=1.

THAT IS WHY U GETTIN 1 RIGHT THERE IN YOUR ANSWER SHEET NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE PROBLEM OF EYESIGHT XD....
