Biodiversity can be conserved by two methods:-

1) in situ conservation:- it is the protection &restoration of animals inside their natural habitats like sacred groves ,sacred lakes, biosphere reserve, National Park, sanctuaries etc.

2) ex situ conservation :- it is protection and Restoration of threatened species outside their natural habitats like home Gardens ,seed banks, botanical gardens ,zoological Gardens etc.
