This is a complex system in which many things are involved .

The sensory neurons receive stimuli which is transfered to brain there associative neuron receives this message and trsnsfer it tomotor neuron the motor neuron in turn stimulates effector .
Effector may be organ or gland .

And when we receive a shock emotionally then a stimulus is created and epinephrine , norepinephrine are produced
