Answer:
m having problems adding names to my charts. When I right click on a chart and add a name, all seems well. I save the document. When I reopen it, the names are gone. Please advise. Thanks!

click anywhere in the chart to which you want to add a title. ...
On the Layout tab, in the Labels group, click Chart Title.
Click Centered Overlay Title or Above Chart.
In the Chart Title text box that appears in the chart, type the text that you want.
